So you are going to have everyones different viewpoints/methods all at the same time. Since they are all based off the same concepts I dont have anything wrong with it, we just have to be diligent in reminding the newbies the proper precautions and steps to take. quot I agree with mike but im concerned nontheless. We all know the basic material can truly help new people find some early success and we all know how critical that phase is. I have zero problems with variations based off of the basic material but we must always make sure that new people understand what is best for them early on. To do that I need the variation people to openly be willing to tell new people that demoing there variation is fine but they should concentrate on the basic material. Obviously what we do here is simple but I DO NOT want new people coming out of the gate taking blind touch trades THINKING THAT IS WHAT THE THREAD WAS DESIGNED TO TEACH. NO NO NO. Thanks so much for sharing this information. I have a few questions I hope you do not mind answering. 1. The screen shots look like Amibroker (I think, Ive played with that platform awhile ago). Do you consider Fridays and Saturdays OHLC as separate days 2. What kind of stops and profit target do you use on the two consecutive Highs or Lows setup hey scooter, it is tradestation. every bar stands on its own if that answers you question. i usually set my stop right above or below the two bars. i dont like to lose a lot of money, if it breaks the two bars its usually over. profit targets have to be user defined. i trade with enough so that just a small move will make me several hundred dollars sometimes thousands depending on the set up. i cannot say this strongly enough, never let a winner become a loser. winning three hundred and getting out only to watch it go to 3 thousand bothers me much less than watching my 300 profit turn into a 300 loss because i did not lock it in. thats just me we are all different. i take half profit then move my stop to breakeven for the other half. winning is a rush, losing sucks. if a trade goes south on me i can live with it, i cant live with watching a winner go to a loser because i did not use my brain. doing that keeps me up at night. and yes i still do it from time to time.
